The 2004 Brentwood Concert In The Park Series
The city of Brentwood hosts a free summer concert series at the Eddy Arnold
Amphitheatre in Crockett
Park. Concerts are on Sunday nights and start at 7:00pm.
BSAS volunteers provide a free public star party after many of these concerts,
in the parking lot marked "shelter" on Volunteer Drive (directions below).
Our star parties begin when each concert ends; this can vary but is usually around 9:00pm.
All events end at 10:00pm sharp and we have to be out of the park by 10:30pm.
Remaining Concert Dates
(Since these are outdoor events, all dates are "weather permitting.")
June 27 — Nashville Chamber Orchestra with Suzy Boguss and Raul Malo of the Mavericks
Two days past first quarter, this will be a great opportunity to show lunar features with telescopes
of every size, and a poor opportunity to see much of anything else. Bring your scope and show off
your knowledge of the lunar landscape!
July 4 — Independence Day!
Though many of our members will surely enjoy this event, the BSAS will not provide a star party due
to the fireworks display (the ash from firework shells is bad for optics!).
July 11 — Bluegrass/Country
There will be no Moon at tonight's event, but the sky will still be pretty bright. If you have a
broadband skyglow filter, bring it!
July 18 — The Tams (Celtic music)
No Moon at tonight's event. This is the last event of the summer concert series, so don't miss it!
